“Director or Director-at-Large
of the Year” Award
This individual is
a current VFPASNY Director or Direct-at-Large that has done an
exemplary job in the performance of his/her duties and
responsibilities and/or in conjunction with special projects or
assignments. This individual leads by example, not by asking others
to do it. The Award shall be for performance occurring in the
current fiscal year, June – May.

“Fire Police Officer of the Year” Award
The Fire Police Officer of the Year
Award is presented to an Active Fire Police Member of a Volunteer
Fire Department, Company, or Squad. The Award shall be made on the
merits, such as risking life, life saving or actions making the
candidate worthy, some other outstanding heroic activity performed
or some exemplary fire police related activity performed.

“Woodman” Award for Fire Police
Service Achievement
This individual
needs to be an Active Fire Police Member of a Volunteer Fire
Department, Company, or Squad. The Award shall be made on the
merits, such as continued distinguished meritorious service to the
Fire Police Community over a prolonged/extended period of years.
This individual leads by example, by doing things. This person
demonstrates total dedication to the fire police service and his/her
community, including being a volunteer in other organizations.
